The first week of Summer Camp was amazing! Students had historical opportunities, such as witnessing the resignation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

On the Plumpton College campus, students could take classes in special programs, such as archery and rock climbing, from the Adventure Program. They also participated in studies and interactive games to develop sociability, English classes and sports games. 🥰

Students could tour the seaside town of Brighton and London. They visited parks such as St James’s Park, and Thorpe Park, an amusement park that includes themed cabins, live events, and Stealth, the UK’s fastest roller coaster. 👏🏼🇬🇧

In London, they visited one of the city’s main symbols, Big Ben. They also visited Buckingham Palace, the royal residence of Queen Elizabeth, and Westminster Abbey, the site of the tombs of Charles Darwin and Isaac Newton.

To end the week with a flourish, the class celebrated the birthday of one of the group’s students and it was spectacular!
