Reading Corner

To celebrate Brazilian Literature Day at EAV, the 9th and 10th grade students had an appointment with the works and authors in our “Reading Corner”.

During high school literature classes, the students form a large circle for oral reading rotation. Then, they comment on the works, their perspectives, doubts, and understandings of the text.

To celebrate this day, the 9th graders are reading the book “Vidas Secas”, by Graciliano Ramos, a novelist from Alagoas. The 10th graders are finishing “A Carta de Pero Vaz de Caminha”, the first written document in the history of Brazil that achieved the status of literature. 😉👏🏼
