Music and education – Marcelo Coelho

Music is part of EAV’s curriculum and an important tool that helps, above all, in young people’s and children’s development. Music classes at our school are integrated with other disciplines so that students have a dynamic, systemic, and complete learning experience.

We value abilities that go beyond the subject. We develop creativity and self-discipline through music, besides strengthening memory and promoting different stimuli.

And there is news! EAV is proud to introduce as Music Coordinator the saxophonist Marcelo Coelho, an internationally renowned professional returning to Espírito Santo after a season abroad. Marcelo has a post-doctorate degree in composition from USP and a Ph.D. in composition from UNICAMP. He also received his master’s degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Miami and his undergraduate degree in Popular Music from UNICAMP.
